Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pioneer Picnic

I am the captain (the president) of the local camp of the International Society of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Every year we celebrate Pioneer Day with a social. These are a few pictures of the kids and the daughters (or members) at the picnic this year. We had a wonderful dutch oven breakfast, sing-a-long, and stories from some of the daughters about their ancestors who came across the plains.

Colin peeking through the wagon. Katie found a baby doll...of course Colin's had enough of the wagon ride.

Sunday

This is how the kids spent the morning before church. What mother can complain about their 5 year old and 19 month old sitting together reading books?

And this is how they spent the afternoon: Katie went right to bed after we got back from church and woke up crying. She has no energy and threw up. It is not like her to just lay here like this. She is usually on the go. I hope she feels better tomorrow.
Colin spent a portion of the afternoon playing Wii. He loves playing Mario Galaxy and it keeps him busy while I am fixing dinner or getting other things done around the house.
